Altitude Wakaru is a free Android application developed by protosd. It is a useful tool for determining the altitude of your current position based on GPS information. To use the app, you need to be connected to the network and have the GPS function turned on.

This app can be used in Japan as well as in some foreign countries. However, areas that do not support GPS will be displayed as "non-compliant coordinates". It is important to note that the app uses data from the Geographical Survey Institute, so there may be some errors in the actual altitude measurements. The altitude should be used as a guideline and not as an exact measurement.

In addition to providing the altitude of your current location, Altitude Wakaru also allows you to know the altitude at any point on the map. Measurements can be taken by either using the center mark of the screen or by pressing and holding any point on the map.

Furthermore, the app has a log feature that records past altitude measurements, allowing you to browse through them. Recently measured GPS routes also have the elevation displayed.
